The first General assembly of The inter-Islamic Network of Nano-Technology

The first General assembly of The inter-Islamic Network of Nano-Technology and The Conference of “Nanotechnology in Medicine, Industry and Agriculture were held in Material and Energy Research Center in 13-15 of May 2013.

The opening ceremony of the General assembly began with the welcoming speech of Dr Tofigh, President of INN and President of Materials and Energy Research Center (MERC) and was followed by the speeches by Dr Arabian,Governor-General of Alborz Province, Dr. Mahdinezhaad, Deputy Minister of Science, Research and Technology And Dr Mahesar, Assistant Coordinator General of COMSTECH. It should be mentioned that ambassadors and representatives of some OIC countries participated in this ceremony.

Subsequently, Dr Tofigh and the representatives of Turkey, Afghanistan, Palestine, Komor,Tounisia, Malaysia, Somalia, Pakistan and Dr Mahesar had a meeting to sign the statue and they officially became the members of the network.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held on the following day and several scientific lectures were given by researchers from Iran and other OIC countries.

On the last day of the meetings, ?“The Executive Committee” was elected by the majority of the participants and Iran was chosen to be the head of this committee.

Simultaneously, some workshops were held. One of them was presented by Dr. Hilal from Palestine titled "Economic and Safe Techniques to Modify Nanomaterials for Solar Energy " . The closing ceremony was the last event in which after speeches delivered by Dr. ?Tofigh and Dr. Arabian respectively, a letter of agreement was signed between Iran and UTM, a very famous University of technology in Malaysia.
